A New Year of Oliver Goodness

Oliver rung in New Year's Eve with a quiet night at home with his Moms but let it all hang out on New Year's Day at Katie and Angie's house. He enjoyed the Yankee Swap very much and especially liked getting his hair done by Aunt Stacey.

The fun didn't stop there, oh no. What would a new year's celebration be without his best buddy, Carey (a.k.a. Ya Ya). We're not sure why Oliver calls Carey "YaYa" but we think it has to do with the fact that Oliver's way of saying I love you sounds a lot like "I Ya Ya." So when he named his best friend Ya Ya it only seemed like a natural assumption that Carey's nickname is basically Love.

As if playing with his BFF Carey wasn't enough, Oliver got to hang out with his best "girl" friend, Zoe. Oliver loves visiting Zoe because she has the most bodacious toys ever and they get to play dress up.
Ollie's also been experimenting with all different kinds of instruments. He is not only a fan of the brass section but he has an affinity for the string section as well (not that I'm biased or anything).

Oliver also had a haircut recently. As usual, he sat like a little prince and watched every move the hairdresser made with observant eyes and a cheeky smile.

Oliver's newest infatuation is with the Toy Story movie series. Of course his Mothers just had to run out and buy him a bunch of Toy Story characters. Oliver was overwhelmed with delight and for the first time participated in some pretend play. It was awesome to watch his development right before our eyes.
