The summer has brought a many opportunities for Oliver to play outside. Throughout the past few months Oliver's acquired many fun outside toys including a blow up pool, a basketball hoop and a baseball tee. You've already seen his swimming abilities and now it's time to show off his other special talents.
Oliver taught himself how to hit off a tee. Really, he did. He's been accompanying Jennifer and me to our softball games and observing very astutely the ways of the softball player. I think he's a natural.
Oliver has also taken a liking to our chap-stick and if his observation skills hold true then that means one of us actually holds our chap-stick this way. Now that's a little frightening.
Not only has Oliver had fun in his very own backyard but he has also spent time in the back yard of Davis' Farmland. Yes that's right, it's that time of the year again. It's time for our annual visit with our friends Jeff, Shawn and Zoe. Oliver was able to partake in the fun a lot more this year than last year and although we weren't able to capture any rare smiles on camera, he was truly having a great time.
Oliver loved feeding all the animals and was not afraid at all. It was so cute to watch him be so kind and gentle to all the different animals.
Oliver was so excited to see a live chicken and really became very animated but was able to maintain his composure enough to be the gentle little boy he always is.

Cute video. I loved it. I was CRACKING UP over the chap stick photo. Xander, since I can remember, has gone into my purse to get chapstick. He always insists on opening it, putting it on, and replacing the cap himself. Then he puts it back in my bag. If we are in the car and he requests chapstick, he asks for both (he knows I have 2 kinds in there) so that he can see them to select the one that he prefers (he doesn't care for the Burts Bees one, I guess). Sooo funny these boys are!
